The city breathes
Here is the Vimeo link to the final piece for the City in Flux project. Could have done better, but not having used After Effects before this term, I still need to practice with some features and effects.

Dense Liquid Animation
The fourth and final animation created on Cinema 4D during Workshop Week. I enjoyed creating this one especially for the great effects, including lighting and gravity.

Work in Progress
Work in progress: Storyboard/plan for final City in Flux piece. I find that drawing out my plan for the final piece helps with visualising it and fixing any problems with the development.
City in Flux Trailer
Here is the link to the complete trailer for the City in Flux project. I 'm quite pleased with the result, due to the fact that I have never worked with this software before.

After effects
Screen Capture during the production of the After Effects trailer. This was my first encounter with After Effects and I found it slightly complicated to familiarise with the program's interface.

Short story
" I was told to sit quietly and wait till
doctor Miles arrived, and I did so. I found myself observing the cold, grey
room I was hurried into just moments before. The walls where a light grey and
in the center of the room, where I sat, was a white desk and two white plastic
chairs at each side.
I jumped when someone walked in and loudly
announced their presence “Mrs Hailey. How are we doing today?”
I didn’t reply straight away and I watched
him as he sat in front of me and checked some papers he brought.
“I’m doing alright, thank you…. Though I’m
not sure why I was brought here.”
He smiled a smile that I found quite
irritating, arrogant and compassionate all at the same time.
“You’re here so you can get better, Mrs
Hailey.”
“Better? I’m absolutely fine.”
He smiled again. (...)"
Introduction of the short story inspired by a news paper article created for Physical Studio. I really wanted to portray a slightly eerie atmosphere to the short story, due to the main character's personality and development.

Mind maps
Mind maps done on A2 paper to help with the research and the creative process. Post-it notes were also used in this part of the research; I found that physically moving key words helped in the generation of ideas and concepts.
Time Lapse
Time lapse taken on campus, in front of the Creative arts building, as a study on the flow of students and staff on campus grounds. This was taken over a 30/40 minute period and is in aid of my idea generation stage for the project.

Show Reel Backwater Gospel
This piece is a series of various illustrations, concepts and animation reels that describe the development of raw ideas into the final piece, an original and peculiar animation that stands out for the soundtrack, art style and the general atmosphere that this piece illustrates.
The final animation is entitled Backwater Gospel and it's made by the youtube user Bo Mathorne (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVkDrIacHJM)
